Who we are
One goal, merging domains, cooperation and,
hands-on approach.
Law enforcement, NGO’s, private companies, and also individuals strive to fight this present-day form of online child exploitation. Despite reasonable efforts and good intentions of everyone involved, the scale of sexual exploitation and abuse of children is still not decreasing in a way that we find acceptable. On the contrary, it is exploding.
Therefore, we founded the Underground Child Foundation. A foundation which sole purpose is to rescue children from online and online-facilitated sexual exploitation and abuse and give them a better future. We accomplish that by functioning as a node between all stakeholders.
Our foundation consists of a highly diverse team with specific skill sets, making it possible to address online sexual exploitation and abuse differently than most existing organizations and institutions currently do.

What distinguishes us from others?
The Underground Child Foundation merges three domains: intelligence, media, and aid.
We detect new cases of online-facilitated sexual child exploitation and abuse and are able to create adequate awareness in such a way that the child’s best interest is fully safeguarded.
The scale and size of the foundation are kept to the minimum. This makes us highly flexible, keeps our staffing costs limited, and allows a genuine hands-on approach.
Last but not least, our foundation has set co-operation as an adage. Operating in this field effectively and responsibly can only by having close alliances with all entities. We reach out to crucial stakeholders like law enforcement and shelters, and involve (semi) private companies and survivors of online-facilitated exploitation and abuse.

Our logo
The Underground Child Foundation follows a three-step plan called ART, which stands for Assessment, Research and Transfer. Each step is characterized with his own specific approach. The three background circles in our logo represents those three steps.
We also feel that the children of this form of abuse and exploitation are not enough seen by the world, hence the name underground.
With our approach, the foundation strives to establish for these children to be visible again as children which can follow their own dreams and reach their own goals.
